BJ at Taste of the Nation 2011

By Tonya Jameson

Taste of the Nation, one of the city’s most popular food events, is back. Enjoy an evening of great food from some of Charlotte’s most popular restaurants (not chains), yummy libations and good music. The event features a silent auction, live auction and a VIP dessert lounge. Last year’s event raised $115,000 to fight child hunger. Proceeds benefit the Second Harvest Food Bank and Community Culinary School of Charlotte.

This year more than 20 restaurants are participating including the new EF2 Emeril’s Eatery and Queen City Q. Last year, hottest dish was a beef slider from The Capital Grille. Participants actually waited in line for a chance to snag the mini-burger. What will it be this year. Get your tickets here.
